When We Are Closed

Out-of-hours is the period of time between 18:30 and 08:00 during the week and also covers weekends, bank and public holidays. If you need urgent medical treatment "out-of-hours" that cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, you only need to ring one number for help. This telephone number is 111.

Contacting this number will put you through to specially trained NHS staff who will make sure you receive the right sort of advice and help quickly. This service is provided by Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
